I kicked things off with a recruiter chat, then went through 3 more interviews with the team. The last one involved a case presentation to some VPs. Everything went super smoothly from the beginning, and the interviews weren't too tough. What was really great was how easy it all was, thanks to Mahmoud the recruiter. He was so friendly, made me feel really comfortable during the interview, and just had a really positive vibe. He explained everything clearly and kept in touch with me the whole time. Even though I didn't get the job, it was one of the best interview experiences I've had in ages, all because of him. I really wish more recruiters were as professional and good at communicating as he is.

I was contacted on LinkedIn due to my industry background. I agreed to an initial interview, despite the job description appearing to merge six distinct roles. I spent about 50 minutes detailing my experience, which closely matches their stated requirements for a strategist capable of building a full funnel and managing content throughout its lifecycle. However, the interviewer seemed unprepared and offered minimal details about the work environment, team size, workload, or daily tasks. My questions were largely met with uncertainty. Despite claims that my experience was a good fit, I was later informed via email that they sought someone more senior. This contradicts the interview feedback and suggests a potential mismatch in expectations or salary offerings, as the compensation seems low for a senior position.

I first spoke with someone from talent acquisition. Then, I had an interview with the creative director and HR. Both of these were video calls and pretty casual, just a chat about the job and my background. The timing was a bit slow, it took a couple of weeks to hear back after the first call, and then another week after my interview for them to give me feedback.
