I had a screening round, then a technical interview, and finally an in-person with the architect and some Sr. directors. They asked me about my experiences and some technical stuff about being a developer and administrator, like Business rules, client scripts, script includes, rest API, soap, and flow designers.

I applied online for the security officer position and the med response tech position. I got an email that the Hard Rock was having a hiring event for the security officer position because of expansion. In the interview, I was asked to tell them about myself and my past work history. It was more of a conversation than a question and answer interview. I am CPR/AED certified and have medical experience and schooling. So they were even considering me for a transfer to the Med Response Tech position. After, they said they liked my personality and that’s really what they were looking for. They told me they can teach the job to anyone, but they were looking for someone with a good personality and work ethic.

The interview is almost given in two major steps. The first step is that you'll receive a call from the department head. He/She will ask you questions about yourself and your current job. Topics that will come-up are are you passionate about finance and what current skill sets that you have that line-up with the position, words that I feel are beneficial to use are: financial budgeting, financial planning, familiarity with excel, microsoft SQL, powerpoint. Phrases that I think will help are being a "Geek" with number and etc... Then the second part which has two sections are as follows: If your chosen to be selected to sit down for an interview, you'll come in and be interviewed by a three man team. The department head of finance, VP of Finance and Food & Beverage Cost Controller. They will verbally interview you for about 1 to 1.5hrs. They are looking to see how you answer questions, what type of work did you do previously and does it line-up with the job requirements, do you have a passion for the job in general, do you have a religious or moral issue with working in the gaming industry and whats your level of familiarity with Excel, SQL. And general are you a good for them and their two man team as you'll be working with the department head and F&B Cost Controller. The section of this will be a 30 minutes time excel test. Topics to study would be the following: Relative vs Absolute reference, SQL, Pivot tables, simple account journalizing, VBA (which I nevered covered), If statements that return words like; favorable or unfavorable, knowing how to create excel formula, and the last set of 7-8 questions really have nothing to do with excel but how well you understand basic finance. The questions went something like this: There are 4 groups: A, B, C, and D. They total 43,902 customers. Each group represents the following number of percentages: A; 10%, B; 12%, C; 3% and D 75%. Now, what is the ratio of group C to group D?

After submitting your online application and resume, a group of 10 to 15 candidates were selected for the first interview. This round included an icebreaker and a fun personality question. If they liked you, you moved on to written assessments, which were a four-part test covering computer skills and essay writing. After that, there might be a one-on-one interview.
