First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SeLux (MA).
Field Applications Specialist
I went to a convention and interviewed there, and I felt it went pretty well. I spent time traveling to the convention and meeting people from the company. I got great feedback and it seemed promising. The manager didn't respond to me and then sent a rejection letter. Luckily, they didn't offer me a job because they went out of business.
- Are you comfortable with being away from home frequently?
Co-Op
The interview process was really smooth and quick, with a great bunch of people. They asked some interesting questions and seemed genuinely interested in me as a person, not just my resume. They also made sure to leave enough time for me to ask my own questions.
- What interests you?
Clinical Trial Manager
The interview process was quite unusual, involving conversations with the CTO and then a regulatory consultant. The company culture seemed generally laid-back. However, the regulatory consultant made a rather dismissive comment about my nearly completed Master of Science degree, stating something to the effect of 'come on we both know that doesn't add value.' This remark was quite hurtful and has stayed with me, leading me to withdraw from further consideration. I've since found a wonderful company that truly appreciates my educational background.
- Could you discuss technical aspects of managing medical device trials?
Research and Development Engineer
Great interview, great team. Talked with the hiring manager first, followed by the team. Interviews spanned multiple levels, including upper management, engineers, and engineering managers/lead engineers. Phone only due to the pandemic, but these days there are onsite interviews including lab tour
- Can you discuss your resume experience?
- Explain how your background aligns with this position.
