Inside Sales
I first talked to a sales rep at a job fair. Then, about 10 days later, the hiring manager called me for an interview. It's a pretty basic interview: 'Tell us about yourself,' 'strengths,' 'weaknesses,' and that kind of stuff. They're really into softball, baseball, kickball, and golf, so it's a good idea to bring that up. You'll usually be interviewed by the sales manager, who's pretty cool, and a senior sales guy. The senior guys aren't really great at interviewing; they mostly just chat with you and get a feel for you. Sometimes you might interview with the owner, but he's not good at interviewing and doesn't really listen or care what you say. Just let him talk and compliment him; he's a bit scatterbrained and won't remember what you told him. If you're likeable and can hold a conversation, you should get an offer.
- Were you ever involved in hunting, shooting guns, or anything similar?
E-Commerce Merchandiser
This role had a 3 stage interview process. First, a phone screen with the recruiter. Second, an in person meeting 1 on 1 with the hiring manager. Before the third stage, you'll take a personality test and complete a work assessment spreadsheet. The final interview is meeting the rest of the team and the hiring manager.
- Can you describe your past work experience or projects?
- Describe a situation where you experienced conflict at work and how you handled it.
- What would be your course of action in various scenarios?
Quality Assurance Engineer
I applied on Indeed and got a call to set up a 30-minute phone interview. It went well and was pretty straightforward. Then, they set up a second interview that was in-person and a bit more in-depth. The day after that, I got a call with an offer.
- What's the distinction between a first focal plane (ffp) scope and a second focal plane (sfp) scope?
- Can you describe the differences among a red dot sight, a reflex sight, and a holographic sight?
Quality Assurance Manager
Applied online and then got a call from HR for a screening interview. After that, I had an in-person interview which went well. They said they'd contact me for another interview soon.
- What's your reason for leaving your current job?
