First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Selfhelp Community Services, Inc..
Personal Care Aide
The interview process was pretty simple, if you don’t have a certificate they help you receive one and help you with employment placement, they set you up with a coordinator. If you have any questions or concerns there’s a 24hr hotline to call as well.
- Have you worked with elders who have been abused before?
Intern
The interviewer was not up-to-date on the desired start date and was dismissive in their responses. They were not engaging and condescending. It would be beneficial if directors had accurate information about candidates before interviews commence, or at least acted interested. The interview date was also rescheduled multiple times, leading to constant delays.
- Please introduce yourself.
Business Analyst
There were 2 rounds, and it was pretty easy. They ask straightforward behavior questions. They explain projects well. They usually recruit through 3rd party agencies. The interview process overall is easy, even though the leadership team isn't great.
- Can you tell me about the responsibilities you had in your previous job?
Director of Finance
This was the second interview for the Director of Finance and Administration position, and it went well. The interviewer had some communication issues and didn't answer my questions about company benefits and tasks.
- Can you describe your experience and your job function?
