The hiring manager and directors were great, clearly explaining the company and team goals. We were both excited about the offer, but after I submitted my counteroffer, I was left waiting for three months. Eventually, the CTO decided to decline my counteroffer and rescind the original accepted offer, even though she had been aware of it for a while and I had been reminding her. It's possible this is just how things are done here, but it was a huge letdown, and even my recruiter was surprised. So, after accepting the initial offer and then waiting three months for the counteroffer denial, the CTO ultimately rescinded the original offer.

Had a general chat about my background and work history, plus some technical questions to check my skills. It was a good conversation with the interviewers, and the vibe was pretty chill. The meeting was online, not in person.

First you send in your resume and cover letter. Then there's a screening stage, could be a call, video, or online test, to check if you're qualified. After that, you'll have a first interview, probably with the hiring manager or a team, where they'll ask about your experience and skills. The next step is a second interview, which might be one-on-one again or a panel. If they like you, they'll make an offer, including salary and benefits. You can then negotiate, and finally, you accept and do the paperwork and onboarding.

I was really impressed with how professional and clear everything was from the start. Scheduling was a breeze, and they kept me in the loop so I felt totally ready. The interview itself was well-thought-out, balancing me talking about my skills with learning about the job and company vibe. The interviewers were super nice and friendly, they explained what they were looking for and how the team works together on communications. I liked how they tried to connect with me personally and professionally, making it a comfortable space to show my skills and excitement. What really stood out was how open they were about everything. I knew what was coming next and the timeline, which was great. They also really dug into my experience and what I've done, making me feel like they genuinely wanted to see how I could fit in. All in all, the interview process at Select (back then Select Energy Services) was efficient, organized, respectful, and considerate. It made me even more interested in the job and the company, and I'm excited about the possibility of joining such a dynamic and innovative team. Thanks again to the team for the chance.
