A recruiter reached out, followed by a hiring manager phone call, and then several in-person interviews with different managers. The final interviews felt disjointed, like interviewing for multiple roles, possibly due to a lack of coordination on the job description. The in-person role differed significantly from the phone description. Despite filling an experienced, hard-to-fill need, the final offer was low, even less than my current salary in a higher cost of living area. This role wasn't one I was actively seeking. It's unclear if this was a recruitment tactic or if the hiring manager was out of touch with salary ranges. Discussing salary upfront with the recruiter, only to receive a lowball offer without negotiation after two months of interviews, felt like a waste of everyone's time.

The interview process was pretty standard. First a phone screen with the recruiter, then a one on one interview, followed by a panel interview with the leadership. After completion came an offer and negotiation. I worked through a recruiter which expedited the process.

The interview process included a 45-minute phone screening with a recruiter. Then, a 1-hour Teams video interview with the department manager. Finally, an onsite interview, which started with a 30-minute walkthrough of the facility, showing where you'd work and other company activities. This was followed by a 1-hour interview with the hiring manager.

The interview process was delayed by over 30 minutes past the scheduled time. There were also a couple of interruptions during the interview, like answering the phone and people coming into the office. Because of this, I decided this wasn't a place I wanted to work. I wasn't really in interview mode anymore and probably should have just left instead of not showing my true self and potential.
