The interview process was super easy. I talked to three shareholders. They were friendly and didn't ask anything too hard. The whole thing was about 20 minutes. They called me back the same day with an offer, but the salary didn't line up with the 1950 billable hours requirement. They offered 93K. Also, the lack of diversity was a big concern for me, making me wonder if it'd be a good fit. With over thirty people, there aren't any people of color in the Chicago office. I hope they are working on that, as it was a major reason for my decision.

It was a pretty standard interview process, and things moved pretty fast. I had two interview rounds before they made me an offer. First, I chatted with a senior paralegal. Then, I met with the two partners I would have been working with. I ended up declining the offer because, honestly, no one ever officially called me to extend it. I got an email with the offer and then a text the next day from HR. It felt really impersonal and unprofessional, so I decided to go with another offer I had.

The hiring process is quite straightforward. You'll need to demonstrate your knowledge of Toxic Tort and have a solid grasp of medical concepts for creating litigation chronologies. They'll extend a formal written offer, and while you can try to negotiate your salary, there isn't much flexibility.
