First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SEG Automotive.
Graduate Engineering Trainee
It was 3 rounds of written tests and then 2 rounds of interviews, one technical and one HR. The interview was mainly about engineering fundamentals, pretty much anyone who studied engineering decently could pass. The HR round had basic questions about my background, college projects, and how I handle pressure.
- Can you explain electronics fundamentals?
- What do you know about controllers?
- Tell me about Newton's laws.
Lead Buyer
The interview process was good. I had 3 interviews in total, with one conducted via Teams and two in-person. A headhunter managed the whole process and kept me informed throughout. Overall, I'm very pleased with the experience at SEG, which is a great company.
- What are your typical purchasing-related questions?
- Can you answer some technical questions about purchasing?
Embedded Software Developer
This interview is tough to get through, but if you genuinely have the skills, it's straightforward. They're more interested in your hands-on projects than theoretical knowledge. The questions tend to revolve around microcontrollers, C programming, your past projects, AUTOSAR, electric machines, and power electronics.
- Could you describe a college project you worked on?
Sales Engineering Intern
The process involved an interview with HR and an interview with the managers. In the manager interview, your ability to communicate and talk about your experiences concisely is evaluated. At some point, you might need to do your presentation in English. Simple logic tests may be performed during the interview.
- If you were given a series of tasks, how would you prioritize them?
