First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sedgwick.
Manager
The initial interview experience was great. I talked to several directors and the SVP, and they seemed really excited about my skills and how I might fit. I liked the time and detail that went into those early talks. But then, things went south fast. It started as a Manager job talk, but turned into an AVP opportunity, and they told me to go for it, promising the Manager role would still be there if AVP didn't work out. That's exactly what senior leaders said. After a bunch of interviews, a presentation, and months of talking, they just ghosted me. Deadlines passed with no word. I got vague timelines that never happened, and when I followed up nicely, they either ignored me or gave me conflicting info about what was promised. In the end, after asking multiple times, I found out neither role was open. No apology, no taking responsibility, and no real end to it. A senior leader blamed it on a 'miscommunication,' even though the conversations were super specific and they quoted things. My advice to management: if you tell a candidate 'this job is yours' or 'you're the top pick,' you need to follow through. If things change inside your company, let the candidate know clearly and quickly. Candidates deserve honesty, especially when they're being honest with you. This kind of thing really hurts trust and your company's reputation more than you realize.
- Could you prepare and deliver a 30-minute presentation detailing the transition from Workforce Management to Workforce Optimization?
Case Manager
It started with a phone call interview, and then there was a zoom call with the direct manager that went for about half an hour. They started out by asking you to introduce yourself, and then they gave some background on the company and position.
- What is your reason for wanting to work at Sedgwick?
- Can you describe a time when you successfully resolved a situation as a team?
Case Manager
I was interviewed at the office and found the supervisor to be flexible. The process started with a phone interview, then I had to take an IQ test, and have a background check done. I wasn't really given a salary offer, but I think the overall experience was positive.
- Can you share specific details about your previous work experience?
Sedgwick Manager Interview Questions
Quoted word for word from Sedgwick interview reports.
“As case managers aren't hourly and have flexible start times, but I expect everyone to be punctual like the hourly staff and work until all tasks are finished, meaning a 40-hour work week isn't a thing on my team. What are your thoughts on this?”
