Administrative Assistant
i interviewed with sedgwick about 4 months ago. it was a 2 round process. first was an online video call that lasted 30-40 minutes and was a decent technical interview. the second round was shorter, about 20 minutes. overall it was a good experience and i accepted the offer, though the salary was a bit low. the work itself is good.
- Can you walk me through your past work experience?
- What makes you a good fit for this position?
Administrative Assistant
The interview process started with an initial call with HR about three weeks before I met with the hiring manager and then the team. The two people reporting to the hiring manager seemed to joke about not being prepared, and the interview was conducted via WebEx. One of the interviewers appeared unkempt, and her workspace was messy. I received an offer, but it was significantly lower than my salary expectations, which had been discussed earlier. The process included an Excel assessment and a personality and talent assessment, which felt like a waste of time given the outcome.
- Can you share an example of a basic situational question?
- Could you describe an experience using the STAR method?
- What are some basic situational and STAR questions you've encountered?
Office Assistant
I applied on a Thursday and heard back the next Monday to schedule an interview for that Friday. Before the interview, I had to do two tests and fill out another application. The interview itself was pretty fast, and the two people interviewing me were nice. A few days after, ADP contacted me for a background check. Two weeks later, a recruiter offered me the job. I asked if I could call back since I wasn't ready to quit my current job, and she said yes. I called the next day to ask about the start date and if the wage was negotiable, but I never got a response. I called again after the weekend and left another message, still no callback. I ended up declining the offer because the wage was too low compared to what I'm making now.
- How would you define professionalism?
