First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Security Properties Residential.
Property Manager
Was contacted to set up an interview with the regional manager. I responded quickly but had trouble connecting with her for days. We eventually scheduled the interview, but she put the wrong last name on my calendar invite. The interview went well, and I was asked to interview with her supervisor. After the second interview, I followed up with the regional manager twice. She never responded and didn't even send a rejection email. It felt like she was unorganized and boastful. Expect to waste your time.
- What do you seek in a future employer?
Leasing Consultant
The interview was quick and to the point. It involved two steps: first with an assistant manager, and then with the property manager. Both were super friendly. I found out on the spot that I got the job! Then, you work as a temp for about 2-3 weeks to see if the job is a good fit. At the end of the temp period, they'll let you know if they want to hire you fully. After they offer you the job, you do a background check and a drug test. If you pass both, you get the position.
- Can you tell me about your customer service experience?
Accounts Payable Clerk
About a week and a half after applying to their Craigslist ad, a woman from Seattle called me. She left a message asking me to call her back. I called her back the next morning. She sounded judgmental on the phone and hit me with questions without warning. It was a full-on phone interview, and she didn't tell me anything about the company or the job. She said she'd check with a manager and get back to us. I didn't want to continue after how she treated me.
- She grilled me about the exact amount of months I had been out of work.
Leasing Consultant
I met with the property and assistant property manager who were really nice and friendly. They made it easy to connect with them and didn't seem harsh at all. The interview lasted about half an hour and was focused on getting to know me and seeing if my personality was a good fit for the company.
