First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Security First Insurance.
Accountant
I had a phone screen with the HR recruiter first. Then, a few days later, I did an in-person interview. It started with a panel interview with three people. This panel interview lasted for an hour and included a mix of situational and behavioral questions. After that, I had an hour-long interview with the CFO about the role. The people I met were all very professional and nice. They told me they'd make a decision in two weeks. I emailed them for an update, and the HR recruiter called me to say they went with another candidate. While I was disappointed with the outcome, I appreciated getting the news.

Multiple
The interviewer focused a lot on hypothetical questions, not real-world ones. Some hypotheticals are fine, but this felt like too much and didn't really show me what the job is like. I wish there were more questions about my actual skills and experience for this specific role.
- Where do you see yourself heading in the future?
Attorney
We talked about my background, trial experience, and past case load. It went for about 45 minutes. I was interviewed by managing attorneys and the department head. The questions were straightforward and the interview was professional. The interviewers had clearly reviewed my resume and were prepared to ask questions based on it.
- How many trials have you been involved in, and in how many of them did you serve as first chair?
Claims Examiner
So the interview was like, a phone call first, then they had me come in person. The in person part was about 2 hours long. For the first 40 minutes, I just chatted with HR, then I met with the three claims supervisors. They gave me an offer about a week after that. The whole thing took about a month, which I think was longer than usual because of the holidays.
- Can you describe a time you had to help two unwilling people reach an agreement?
- Tell me about an instance where your technical abilities didn't quite match the demands of the task.
