The hiring process was pretty fast, wrapped up in about two weeks with two technical interviews. On the plus side, it moved quickly and scheduling was a breeze. However, the first interview with the QAs felt off – the questions were unrealistic, there was a lot of irrelevant CV lecturing, and the behavioral questions were poorly done. The second interview started 30 minutes late, and it seemed like the devs interviewing didn't really grasp the SDET role, and hadn't even looked at the resume. The Director QA came across as professional but was also really arrogant and dismissive, even towards their own team. It felt like the whole team was on the same page, not open to any discussion or different ideas. What was really concerning was that the interviewers seemed to lack basic QA/SDET knowledge; they mixed up test oracle with Oracle software, didn't understand the concept of a happy path, and confused test flow with validation. Basically, the interviewers weren't really listening, just pushing their own agendas. Honestly, it felt like a complete waste of time.

The interview was super professional and organized, really nice from start to finish. The interviewer asked some great questions that got me talking and made me feel heard. They communicated clearly, were really thoughtful, and seemed genuinely enthusiastic about the role and the company vibe. It felt more like chatting than a strict interview, and I left feeling inspired and even more keen on joining the team.

I had a recruiter call for a Backend Developer position. It was super unprofessional. The interviewer didn't introduce themselves or let me introduce myself. I don't even think they looked at my resume. We were on Google Meet and they were driving in traffic, so there was a lot of background noise, which made it hard to concentrate. The questions were mumbled, and when I asked for clarification on one, they said their kids could answer it. It was really disrespectful and discouraging. I think a more organized and respectful process would be better for everyone.

So first there was this screening test with some MCQs and then problem solving questions that were not too hard. After that, the interviews started. The first one was on site. They started with some basic questions, then asked about OOP, Data structures, Databases, and algorithms. Then they asked about my experience with programming languages. Lastly, I had to solve two coding problems on the spot on a laptop. The second interview was online, focused on JavaScript. I had to answer JS-specific questions and solve a coding problem related to JavaScript.
