It was a pretty good process. They assessed my technical skills, soft skills, and overall experience. It had both an on-site and an online component. I met with the manager, HR, and the team lead. Then, there was a technical interview with the client online where I had to present a PowerPoint presentation.

I applied through my college and got a call the next day for the first round. After that, I was told to wait for an email about the second round. Three weeks later, I got an email saying an executive would contact me to schedule it. A week after that, I received another email stating they couldn't proceed with my application because their summer internship hiring budget was full. Honestly, the whole hiring process felt pretty unprofessional.

So, first, I had a recruiter call which was like a screening. Then, another phone interview with an HR person at the company, which was pretty similar to the first one. Both of these tested my basic knowledge in Networking, Security, and Linux. After that, I had the main interview with the people there. I gotta say, it was a bit intense. The room felt a little intimidating with everyone staring and a dim light. I used humor to keep some control, otherwise, I would've been super nervous. The role itself is pretty demanding, so I think the interview was also about checking my personality for the job.
