It was an in-person interview. The panel was friendly and made me feel comfortable, which helped ease my usual interview nerves. The conversation felt more like a chat between colleagues than a formal interview.

It was a terrible experience. There was a constant flow of candidates before the interview, with many waiting in the reception. Candidates were cycled through two different panel interview teams. One panel consisted of senior managers, and the other was made up of Staff Accountants. Each panel was restricted to asking the same six questions that HR had prepared for them. These questions could have easily been handled over the phone as a way to screen candidates, instead of making them all travel to DC and pay for it themselves.
