Technical Coding

We started with an introduction, then talked about the projects and roles. After that, we dove into React and TypeScript questions. We wrapped things up with some more technical stuff like Promise vs Callback, Async & await, and React Hooks (useState, useReducer, useEffect, useCallback, useRef), and why Higher Order Components are useful. Oh, and there were also two coding programs: one to convert a multi-dimensional array to a single array, and another to fetch data from an API and display it in a React component.

  • Can you explain the difference between Promises and Callbacks?
  • How does async/await work?

Case Behavioral Technical

It was 1 recruiter screening call + 2 rounds interviews. 1st round interview was with the Hiring manager: did a quick self-intro, then a mini case interview. 2nd round interview with a senior executive: standard self-intro, resume-based questions, and some behavior questions. The whole thing took less than 1 month. Didn't get an offer, but overall a good experience. The interviews were straightforward and quick. The recruiter was responsive and personally reached out to explain why I didn't get the role, which I appreciate.

Behavioral Technical Other

We start with a recruiter call to see if you're a good fit and if you're interested. Then there are three main rounds. Round 1 is 90 minutes and covers your background, education, and soft skills. Round 2 is 60 minutes and dives deeper into your experience and the job specifics. You'll also need to do a Product Prioritization Skills Test before this interview. Round 3 is 30 minutes and checks if you're a cultural fit and align with the company's values and how we work. It's a bit unusual because we're very engineering-focused and don't have a product team yet, so we're trying to build that out.

Technical Coding

I went through a 5-round interview process including a phone call with HR, a technical interview, a technical assessment focused on API creation, and a client round, followed by an HR round. Even though HR congratulated me after I cleared all rounds, I was later told my performance didn't meet expectations. It felt like a waste of my time, and the technical team and HR were senseless. They should reject candidates in the first round if they aren't interested, rather than wasting people's time.

  • Questions asked were based on the resume.
  • A coding test was administered.
