The first 3 interviews went well. The company rep was super helpful and kept in touch. Things moved fast with lots of different people. The last interview was with the CEO, who basically told me I didn't know as much as he did. So, yeah, not shocked by the rejection email.

I sent in my application and then got a call from two people. They asked me some questions about myself, like my qualities, what I'm interested in, and my work ethic. They also asked about my experience, including what I know, my skills, and challenges I've faced. The vibe was pretty laid-back, not super formal or strict.

The interview process at Searchbloom isn't easy, as it shouldn't be. Searchbloom specializes in SEO and hires individuals who know their stuff. I had a phone interview with Cody (CEO), where he asked a list of easy, medium and hard questions. After that, I had an interview with Cody, Tanner (VP of Operations) and Alex (SEO Director). In this second interview, we again went over SEO processes but also talked about culture, personality, and processes. I then had a final interview with Alex and Jordan (VP of Sales). In this interview, we mainly went over culture fit. Overall, it wasn't easy but really opened my eyes. These guys were asking some questions I didn't know the answer to, after four years of experience.

The interview was essentially a chat where they described the job. No questions were asked of me. The interviewer wasn't prepared, not even having their camera on, which was strange. They mentioned they were screening candidates, but then a few hours later, I found out the job was already filled. The whole thing felt disorganized and communication was really lacking.
