Intern
It was a video interview that lasted about 30 minutes. I was interviewed by another intern who was pretty friendly and easy to chat with. Overall, it was a good experience, and the questions weren't too difficult. They started with some general questions about the company and the industry, then moved on to more technical ones.
- Could you explain why you are interested in SFA?
- Tell me about search funds.
- Which industry would you choose for investment and provide your reasoning?
Intern
I had a phone interview first, then went to the office for a second-round interview. Even though it was the second round, it was pretty chill and didn't have many technical questions, felt like they had already decided. For the first round, make sure you know it's a search fund accelerator (SFA), not just a search fund. I missed that detail... but they still passed me. They didn't ask about EBITDA, which is different from what other reviews said.
- What do we (SFA) do and how do we operate?
- Which industry sparks your interest and why? Can you name a company in that sector?
- What makes you want to join SFA?
Intern
Before the interview, there were online tests. After finishing the test, I could schedule an interview. This interview took about 25 minutes and it was with an existing intern. It was a screen interview and sometimes the signal was very bad.
- Given some descriptions about an investor's requirements, can you find a proper industry field that meets those requirements?
- What do you know about search funds?
- How would you evaluate a company if it had no financial figures?
