I was contacted via email initially. After about two months, I received a call where they discussed the company and their work. Later, I had a 90-minute phone interview focusing on my current work, with some basic OS and DVB domain questions. A few weeks after that, I was informed I needed to meet the VP for the final decision. I then went to the company and met with the VP and president. They were welcoming, showed me the office, and asked some questions. The process was good overall, despite some initial delays.

I applied online. The process involved a phone screening and then an in-person interview. It seemed like they weren't sure who or when they wanted to hire. I'd read reviews about the company shrinking and mass layoffs in early 2017, so I wasn't sure why they were hiring now, maybe to lay off again? I needed a job, so I went for it. After looking at the product, I realized it would take at least 9 months to understand and support clients, which made me think it might be better to find a different company to truly master something. I decided to give it a shot anyway. Non-immigrants, it's probably not worth trying for an interview because they won't hire you, plain and simple. I did great in the interviews up until the last round, but they didn't select me because of my visa status.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I interviewed with the GM, an Engineering lead, and a Product Manager. Nobody ever gave me a job description, and the specific product I'd be handling kept changing depending on who I talked to. The Engineering lead thought the Product Manager wasn't focused enough or supportive. The PM seemed swamped and constantly dealing with sales requests and immediate customer feature demands, unable to actually prioritize or work on product roadmaps. The GM's interview felt like a psychological evaluation, and they seemed completely disengaged.

I had a chat with the hiring manager, then met with someone who would be my colleague, and finally, I spoke with the hiring manager again to wrap things up. It was pretty much the usual stuff you'd expect in a sales interview. The team seemed good and the people were smart.
