I first had a call with HR, then an interview with HR where I stated my current salary and that I was looking for a raise to 40k. They said it was within their range and no problem. Lastly, I had an interview with the tech team, where they told me that 40k is only paid to engineers who also do management. The day after the technical interview, they sent me their offer. Not only was it not the 40k I had already discussed with them, but they wanted to pay me almost 15% less than what I currently earn.

The team makes you feel at ease right away, they are nice and cheerful, but most importantly, competent and prepared. I had an initial get-to-know-you interview with the very prepared recruiter and then two technical interviews with professionals. In total, I met 4 professionals in the required field.
