Initial contact was great. The interview process had 3 stages. First, a phone call with an HR person, then an interview with the operational/project manager. Finally, an interview with the BU director partner.

The interview process started with a brief phone call with the recruiter, under 30 minutes. Then there was an online test with logic and psychology questions; it was a bit long but it's for the international team, not for national hires. The final step was an interview with the hiring manager.

Had a thorough online meeting with the corporate recruiter. He was very knowledgeable and gave a detailed overview of the employer, their business, the countries they operate in, their ambitions, etc. Following this, I was invited to complete some tests. After a positive outcome on the tests, a live meeting in Breda followed very quickly. It was a very pleasant conversation, with a nice atmosphere, and a relaxed meeting.

I was emailed by HR and had a call scheduled. It went well, and the next day I was contacted for a formal interview with the team leader and department head. That interview also went smoothly, and I enjoyed the conversation. They seemed to be promoting the company as a good place to work. Before it ended, they asked for a follow-up meeting the next week, which I agreed to. However, 3-4 days later, I got an email saying they chose another candidate. While I'm fine with it, it was very strange. Usually, interviews end with 'we'll discuss internally,' but this time they emphasized wanting a follow-up, gave me prep materials, and then changed their minds.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • HR asked some basic questions for a manager/lead position.
  • Team leaders asked how I would fit into the position.
