Marketing
I honestly don't even remember applying for this company, I believe I was just mass applying everywhere but they called me asked me a couple of basic questions like 'what do I want to do in my future career' then proceeded to schedule an interview for the next day. It's a 3-part interview if you want to be a part of their company. The first interview honestly didn't feel like an interview but more like a sales pitch for you to join their ever-growing team. Their main goal is supposed to get you up and running and creating your own team that you would handle and such. So you're just making more and more puppets and expanding their direct sales marketing. They asked basic questions like 'Do you consider yourself as an entrepreneur?' and 'What do your parents do?' Off the bat I already wasn't feeling it, they were sounding more and more pyramid scheme-y but as they like to call it a multi-level marketing plan. They offered a second interview and I just accepted because I just wanted the experience and was really trying to be more open-minded. And the girl that interviewed me can sell, like if she came up to me and tried to sell me a baby I would probably have a baby by now. During the second interview was where I really realized I didn't want to work for them. I came in early for my 'interview'/'job shadow' and I waited for about 15 min. In that 15 min, 4 people came in for their initial interviews. I think that turned me off more just because you feel like they'll just hire anyone to grow their team. After waiting that time the girl that interviewed me the day prior just handed me a google maps print out and walked me out. I was so tempted to not even go but I pushed myself to going. I drove another 30 min to get to where I was shadowing one of their team members at a 'high volume traffic area' and he mostly just asked me about questions about my personality and such. They really wanted me to start ASAP if the job was offered to me and I kind of didn't like that. The job is mostly commission only and will definitely depend on where your stand is located. Its direct marketing and direct sales, you're kind of soliciting but in a public place. It's an easy job if you're more outgoing and like talking to random people but it's also long hours of standing. It's just not a job for me.

Waiting for the interview was entertaining with a Bond movie playing in the lobby. The interview itself wasn't too difficult, and the interviewer was really cool and easy to talk to. They provided details about the position and the company, which is quite unique. There's significant potential for growth based on individual performance, without needing to wait for management openings. Essentially, hard work, applying learned skills, and leadership can lead to success and faster advancement than others. The office environment and the people I met were great. Despite rumors, it's not a scam, but rather a different approach to marketing that offers an advantage in entrepreneurship.

First impressions matter! For my 1st interview, I waited 40 minutes in the lobby before being brought in for my interview. For the 2nd interview, I waited 15 minutes. This shows that my time was not valued. I was rubbed the wrong way by some of the interview questions (read below) and the focus only on making money, rather than loving your work environment and being happy. It was all about "the harder you work, the more money you'll make," which is great if that's all that one cares about, but I also care about work/life balance and being happy where I work. The 2nd interview included driving to a business plaza 10 min away from the office and shadowing an Account Manager give a sales pitch, or "30-second commercial" to people in businesses. I was thrown off when I saw that we were going through the back doors of businesses and interrupting conversations of people at these businesses to give this sales pitch. The hours for this position are 8am-7pm M-F (and Saturdays 9-5pm once you advance). I was told that if you are unable to commit to these hours, you will not be hired for the position.
- May I ask what your parents do?
- Are you motivated by money?
- How competitive are you?
