There was a quick intro and then we got into the formal questions. It was a group interview and the interviewers were very friendly and nice, trying to put everyone at ease. There was a lot of competition for the role.
- What is your motivation for applying to this position?
Field Service Engineer
I met the hiring manager at a restaurant and he told me about the job. He mentioned that DNS is a company that doesn't fire people. Our conversation lasted about an hour. Afterwards, he asked me to meet him and the HR director at their hotel and to tell them my desired hourly salary. I submitted my paperwork, and a few days later, they called with an offer that was higher than I expected.
- Are you willing to relocate to Utah?
Field Service Engineer
It was like a roundtable meet and greet with other engineers and EICs, kind of felt like a military "Board" process. We went through a gauntlet of questions from everyone, then met with various managers. After this multi-hour event, they said they'd be in touch, and then it was the typical hurry up and wait. They seemed very professional and knew what they were doing.
- Are you able to work any shift?
- What are your thoughts on working overtime?
Field Service Engineer
My interview felt more like a casual chat. I brought up my previous Intel experience, which seemed to be my biggest advantage. We talked about the role and how my familiarity with Intel's culture could give me an edge. The interviewer then outlined what happens next, so I'd know how to proceed.
- Can you tell me about your experience working in a clean room?
