First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SCR.
Driver
It was a really easy and smooth chat about my customer service experience. The interviewer was super welcoming about my background, and I actually got offered the job right away. I'd totally recommend this company if you want to be a driver in Chicago and work with people with disabilities.
- Tell me about a time you had to encourage someone you didn't know well to make the best choice for themselves.
Driver
The interview process felt pretty random and all over the place. Some questions didn't really seem related to being a driver, but a few did check how I'd handle things out in the field.
- What's the quickest way to get to location A?
Para-transit Driver
I applied in person at the office and had to take a test. The test had basic questions about landmarks around the city and street directions, I think to see if you had a good sense of direction. If you passed, you had an in-person interview with a driver coordinator where they asked basic questions about dealing with people, especially seniors and challenged folks.
- How do you handle people who are difficult?
- How do you deal with difficult people, especially seniors and challenged folks?
Human Resources Manager
A recruiter reached out to schedule an interview with SCR. They took over a month to arrange an in-person meeting. In April, after hearing nothing from management, the recruiter informed me the position was on hold.
- General interview questions were asked.
