First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Scotch & Soda.
IT Support Engineer
The interview process was great - organized and thorough until the end. I interviewed for 3 of the 4 rounds for this role, but the company had just been acquired by another larger brand group. I never heard back after because of the change in the company, but this was overall an excellent interviewing experience for the role.
- Can you tell me about your previous role and your day-to-day responsibilities there?
Production Coordinator
The application process started well. I had 3 interviews within 3 weeks of sending my CV and cover letter. Communication was quick and positive. However, after the final interview, it became difficult to reach them. They promised to get back to me by the end of the week, but unfortunately, they couldn't keep that promise. Four weeks after the last interview, I received an email stating they were not moving forward with my application.
- Have you ever had a conflict with a colleague, and if so, how did you handle it.
Sales Associate Stylist
The application process was really nice. They updated it so you didn't need to upload a CV. Instead, you just did a personality test and answered some questions. The interview itself was very casual, more like a chat. When I walked into the store, the team's energy was great from the start. It made me feel really welcome and made the interview more fun. For an entry-level job, they don't ask for much experience or have tough requirements. Which makes sense, but not all places get that.
- Why were you interested in working here?
- What can you contribute to your team?
Studio Coordinator
The entire process went really well and fast. They communicated clearly what to expect and the timeline. I had 3 interviews, and after each one, I received positive feedback. Until the final interview. I ended up waiting 6 weeks for their final decision to move forward with another candidate. I tried to contact them multiple times via email, and they said they would get back to me by the end of the week. Those promises were broken multiple times. A real shame.
- Describe a difficult situation in your current job and how you handled it.
