First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Scoot Education.
Education Consultant
It was a multi-step interview process. First, a phone screen, then round 1, and then round 2 interviews with different people from the local office and some important people from other offices. The questions were all about values and mostly situational or behavioral. They were very communicative and responsive through the whole process.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Substitute Teacher
I sent in the application, making sure it was really complete, and then I followed up to make sure they got it. After a few weeks, they emailed me to say they weren't going to move forward with my application, but they didn't say why. This was kind of a surprise because I thought the company was supposed to be more upfront. Their application took way longer than other places like Kelly Education and ESS, and those places were better about respecting my time because they got back to me quickly.
- In the written application, what questions were asked to help decide what kind of substitute teacher you would be?
Consultant
I have applied multiple times to work for Scoot since they launched, but I consistently do not get past the initial screening, unless it's for a substitute teaching role, which is the only time I've been offered a job. I've since given up and don't plan on applying again. I wish I could get some feedback on what I could improve during an interview. It's just very strange.
- What constitutes a great work environment
Education Consultant
I applied on line and via referral. I had 3 interviews and did not receive an offer. Interview 1 was an intro phone call that lasted < 45 minutes. Interviews 2 and 3 was a with team leads asking personal questions and situation questions. Very similar to another review. The aftermath is where the frustration comes in. I believe in open communication and asking for feedback and advice. It takes nothing out of your day to spend 5-10 minutes responding. Not one person out of the 4 I spoke to had the respect to respond back to an e-mail. The only response I got was from some I never once spoke with telling me that had filled the role and would keep in touch for future opportunities. To me, this is a huge red flag for a company if their communication is this poor.
- Can you introduce yourself?
