First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ScienceLogic.
Competitive Intelligence Manager
I went through a really tough interview process with Science Logic. Even though I have a demanding job, I put a lot of effort into the assignment they gave me because I was really interested in the role. I passed several interview rounds and got good feedback. The consultancy handling my application told me I was chosen and an offer was coming soon. But then, for three weeks, I was told the offer was waiting on budget approval and I should pause on other job offers. They even asked if I could start early and talk to my current manager. I said I'd only discuss those things after a formal offer. In the end, they said the role was on hold because of budget freezes and they stopped responding, even when I tried to get more info. My advice: don't move candidates forward or make verbal promises unless the job is actually approved and ready to be filled. Being clear, communicating on time, and being transparent really shows respect for candidates' time and effort.

Customer Operations Analyst
I was first contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn to set up a phone interview. Then, I had a recruiter phone interview for screening, after which they passed my info to the hiring manager. The hiring manager interviewed me virtually. Following that, there was a panel interview with the hiring manager and two technical employees where they asked mostly behavioral questions, plus a few technical ones. To wrap things up, I had an interview with the Sr. VP. The interview with the hiring manager was actually one of the best I've ever had; he was approachable, listened well, and was a great communicator.
- Can you share an example of a project you managed that didn't go as planned and explain the reasons for its outcome?
Software Engineer
Started with an initial video screen call. They really liked my background and moved me straight to a video call with a manager. It was the same story there, too. Super impressed and they were really nice people. Then, I got moved up to a video call with their Software Architect. He was really distant from the beginning, and I think he had a problem with my old job title being more senior than his. He had me describe my experience and then threw some questions at me that I wasn't expecting. The kind of questions you have to look up when you need them and don't actually memorize. I got rejected after that with a standard email saying I wasn't experienced enough. It's kind of funny because the job posting said they were looking for someone with potential to grow and learn, not a senior role. I tried to find out what specifically I didn't do well on, but they never got back to me.
- Can you list all the OS signals?
- Could you elaborate on the SOLID principles?
Principal Engineer
So I interviewed with ScienceLogic for a Principal Engineer role and honestly, the experience was a letdown. I went through several rounds of interviews and after that, radio silence from HR. I tried reaching out multiple times, but got nothing back. Even a quick note like 'We're still looking' or 'You didn't make it' would have been something, you know? Just disappearing after I spent so much time interviewing them, it's pretty bad how they handle hiring and how they treat people's time. Hopefully, ScienceLogic will make things better for future candidates and communicate more.
- Can you describe your past project experiences?
- What is your understanding of testing fundamentals?
