First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ScienCell Research Laboratories.
IT Associate
I had one interview with the CEO, and then he emailed me about two weeks later. During the interview, he asked me about my past work and if I had experience with IT infrastructure.
- Regarding your past experience, what have you done?
- Have you worked with IT infrastructure before?
- Do you know about Voip?
Marketing Specialist
The interview was informal and quick, seemed a bit scattered. The interviewer, James, was unprepared and seemed to question my understanding of fair compensation for the role. He mentioned that several people had recently quit, which felt like a red flag. He also dismissed my PR experience as not relevant to marketing.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What's your background?
- What do you know about our company?
Research Associate
The interview process was a negative experience. James, the co-founder and CEO, was unprepared and rude. He insisted on discussing topics he wanted to cover. I'd suggest asking for a phone interview before coming in person. It took 15 minutes for someone to notice I was waiting at the front desk. Overall, be aware that this company isn't very organized. I'm glad I got an offer from Thermo Fisher, and it wasn't for $40,000 a year.
- Can you tell me about your past work experience?
- Have you worked with cell culture before?
Biologist
I met with the quality control manager for an interview. She asked me standard interview questions and then asked me to explain the tissue culture process. After that, I met with the CEO. The interview process was pretty laid-back and not stressful at all.
- Can you explain the tissue culture process?
- How do you split cells?
