Assistant Program Manager
Scheduling and communication with HR and the program head were straightforward. The interview felt relaxed and included both standard and more challenging questions. The initial meeting was informal with the program head, followed by a second meeting on Zoom with the program lead and HR.
- How do your values influence your job approach?
- Describe your strategy for building community relationships.
Education
The interview felt more like the manager was trying to dissuade me from taking the position. They provided a lengthy and detailed explanation of the difficulties associated with the role, and the interview went on longer than initially scheduled. I didn't feel like I got to discuss my experiences as much as I wanted because of this.
- Could you tell me about your past experience?
Volunteer Manager
So there were three interviews total. First was a phone screen call. Then an in-person interview with the staff in my department. The last one had people from other departments and the volunteer team there too. They gave me the questions beforehand so I could prepare, and they seemed like good questions to see if I'd be a good fit for the role, the team, and the company culture.
- What would you do if volunteers consistently ignored or opposed established procedures or rules?
Community Engagement Specialist
Got an email a few weeks after applying to schedule a zoom interview. I interviewed with 3 other staff members and the director. It went well. It was my first time being asked to prepare a presentation for an interview, where I had to teach them a skill or knowledge I possess. I didn't get hired, but I made great connections and learned a lot!
- Can you share your experience in leading community initiatives?
