Hardware Engineer
I first reached out to the hiring manager about open positions and the Associate Hardware Engineer role caught my eye. We had a 30-minute chat where we reviewed my resume and covered some basic EEE101-EEE201 stuff like low pass filters, Zener diodes, voltage dividers, and KVL/KCL. After that, I got moved to a technical interview with a team of 4. It was scheduled for an hour but ended up being 1.5 hours. They went over my resume again and then we did a whiteboard session. The topics included low-pass filters, waveforms, capacitors, bode plots for LPFs, transformers, and diodes (they had this tricky rectifier-like question with a negatively biased diode, resistor, and load). We also discussed AC/DC voltage on transformers, how diodes work, an inverting op-amp problem (solving for Vo), op-amp range, the purpose of R3 in the non-inverting side, ideal op-amp traits, and choosing R3. There was also a current distribution question I didn't quite get. They then showed a voltage divider with an ammeter and voltmeter in parallel and asked about the effects, ammeter impedance, and output voltage. I struggled with the op-amp parts but managed to correct myself. I got rejected a couple of weeks later. The next step would've been an in-person interview with a 20-minute presentation and a day of whiteboarding, plus lunch. Hint: check out their company values on their website, they really like that!

Hardware Engineer
I had a phone interview, and then a programming test. The time given for the programming test was really short. After that, there was a phone interview with 5 members of the hiring team. It went well, but then I had to wait for 3 weeks. Background verification was completed, but strangely, I wasn't called for an on-site interview, and no reason was given. The whole process was kind of slow, but the interviewers asked questions really clearly.
- Could you answer basic Verilog questions?
