Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Schreiber Foods.
Production Supervisor
It was a LONG process, very in-depth but it was pleasant. There were three interviews that happened over the course of a month. The last interview was pretty intense, lasting four hours and I met with 7 different managers. They really care about the company and what they do, so they are very selective and careful about who they hire. They asked structured questions, but also gave us time to ask our own questions and have a discussion.
- Can you describe a situation using the STAR method where you were in a position without authority or respect and explain how you managed it?
Production Supervisor
After two phone calls, there was a panel interview. The directors didn't show their faces on Microsoft Teams, which was odd. Communication after the interview was also not great. Aside from that, it was a pretty standard interview process. I just wish it had felt more personal and interactive.
- Can you share an example of a time you used the STAR method to answer a question?
- Tell me about a basic situation you encountered.
Production Operator
I guess I can't really say I had an interview process. The HR people are pretty bad. I got called in, and I left them two voicemails that day. A few days later, during the next week, I called again and left another voicemail. The next day, I got an email saying they found other candidates who were more qualified. Thanks for wasting my time. It used to be three separate interviews years ago. In 2021, there were two interviews.
- Can you tell me about your worst and best characteristics?
