Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Schrödinger.
Frontend Engineer
The interview sessions were quite interactive and engaging. All stages of the interview process were communicated clearly, taking into account my availability around my current work schedule. Overall, it was a positive experience.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Front End Developer
The recruiter cancelled and rescheduled the interview, then junior people with only 2 years of experience showed up. The interviewer didn't introduce himself, probably because he was interviewing a more senior developer.

Frontend Engineer
Applied and a recruiter got back to me right away via email. We then scheduled a Google Hangouts call with one of their senior engineers. The engineer threw a curveball by asking me to build a tictactoe game in jsfiddle using vanilla JavaScript within an hour. They were pretty condescending the whole time, like shaking their head and raising eyebrows. When I asked the interviewer how they came up with their interview questions, they said, "It's really whatever we come up with at the moment."
