First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Schnabel Engineering.
Geological/Mining Engineer
I went through the standard three interview rounds. The first two were on the same day. The in-person interview was the following week and was really nice. I met with four people in a relaxed environment. Afterwards, we took a tour of the office and I met more staff. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Overall, a great interview experience!
- What are your career aspirations for the next five years?
Project Engineer
It wasn't too hard. First, there was an HR screen, then I interviewed with the Hiring Manager. They were nice, showed me the office, and I got to chat with a bunch of the team. But, I got rejected a couple of weeks later. They should be clearer if a candidate doesn't tick every single box they want.
- Can you walk me through your internal quality assurance and quality control process for reviewing plans?
Financial Analyst
So, it was a three-round process. First, I talked to HR, then the manager, and the last one was with the whole team. For the third round, I had to go in person and talk to three people for about an hour and a half. I think I did really well and made a good impression. But then they reposted the job and just ghosted me.
- What one item would you bring if you were stranded on an island?
Senior Staff Software Engineer
It started with a recruiter call, which was chill and easy. Then I had a Zoom call with some managers in Colorado, lasted about an hour, they were cool and mostly talked about my past work. About two weeks later, I went on-site to their HQ for about three hours, met with managers and team members, saw the workspace, and got company info. They were moving to a new place, so things were a bit delayed. Three weeks after that, I got the offer and took it.
- Would you be okay with a hybrid work arrangement combining office, home, and work site?
