I had a good interview with the recruiter. She then set me up for an interview with a manager. The interview was with two people, but they weren't prepared at all. They didn't realize they already had my resume from the invite and clearly hadn't looked at it. One person was 10 minutes late and was on their computer the whole time. The other person made me wait while they figured out how to print my resume. It felt really disrespectful of my time.

So, the interview process was good at first. The first round was on May 21st, 2024, and I passed. The second round was on May 28th, 2024, and it went really well. The interviewer told me I was ready to join immediately, and I said yes. He then said HR would let me know when to join. I was thrilled because I thought I had landed my first core job after engineering, which I'd been waiting for over 7 months. On June 5th, 2024, I sent all my educational documents to the HR in Pune and waited. I also kept in touch on WhatsApp for updates. Around June 27th, the HR said they'd try to release the offer letter that day or the next. I was happy again. But then, about 8-9 days later, I still hadn't received the offer or any updates. The HR kept saying it was in the approval stage. When I called to ask, the HR said they didn't know how long it would take and advised me to look for other jobs. I was shocked and traumatized. Just two days later, I saw people joining for the same role, and the HR was congratulating them. I just want to know what happened and who's responsible for this traumatic recruitment process. Schindler India, please don't do this to others; some people can't handle it and might lose their confidence.

I was initially contacted by a recruiter, Sarah Ward, about a Senior Field Administrator position. We discussed the salary range, and it seemed to align with my expectations. Following that, an in-person interview was scheduled with Corey. Although the interview went well, there was a significant delay in receiving feedback, spanning a couple of weeks. Subsequently, I received a job offer, but the salary proposed was considerably lower than the initially discussed range. I pointed out this discrepancy to the hiring manager, who acknowledged their strong interest and promised to review the salary. After another week, Corey contacted me again with a revised offer, which, while improved, still fell short of the initial salary range. I reiterated my inability to accept an offer at that salary level. Corey mentioned he would escalate the matter to HR and that I would receive an update the following day, but I never heard back, which felt like a considerable waste of my time.

It was a very fluid and friendly chat, more than a formal interview. Information was exchanged both ways. We discussed development opportunities, reviewed technical skills, and touched on leadership experience and statistical knowledge. There was also a detailed description of a challenge, which was quite accurate. The complete process overview was provided.
