Strategy Analyst
Started with a recruiter call, then had a few rounds. There was one panel interview with 2 team members, and I had a take-home case. The final interview was with the hiring manager and an executive from the team.
- Can you tell me about your greatest strengths?
- What about your greatest weaknesses?
Director
The interview started well with two rounds including a recruiter call and a hiring manager meeting. After that, I had a panel interview. Just before the panel, another leader wanted to talk to me. This was more like an interrogation than an interview. I was told my role would be 80% outbound work, which wasn't in the job description. It was the most uncomfortable interview I've ever had.
- Have you ever managed an outbound team?
Program Manager
This was my second time interviewing with SCAN, and while the first time wasn't bad, this time around I didn't get any communication about the outcome after my interview with the hiring manager. The HR recruiter had previously told me I wasn't selected after my first interview. It was disappointing because the recruiter seemed honest before, but after the decision was made, it felt like communication stopped. The interview with the hiring manager went really well; it was laid-back and she asked about three resume-related questions. I thought I got the job after the interview and was expecting to hear back, but I was let down. I sent a thank you email the day after and got a response, then followed up a week later with no reply.
- When facing multiple demands, how do you manage your priorities?
Manager
The interview process was alright, but they didn't tell me there would be up to 8 interviews. After checking references and making me a finalist, I didn't get the job even though I was highly qualified. They decided I wasn't a good fit after my 7th interview, and the 8th was canceled. It felt disrespectful and like a waste of time, especially since the position wasn't a very high leadership role. Eight interviews for a manager job is excessive. It feels like they have no real plan for hiring "rebels."
- How would you manage a team of two individuals reporting to you?
- Describe your leadership style.
