I had a phone call interview for an Engineering Intern position. It was mostly questions about my resume, then some technical questions about general mechanical topics. They also asked about my favorite plane. It was a pleasant interview with two engineers, but I didn't get the job in the end.

It's a long interview process with several parts. You'll talk to different managers and subject matter experts, answering technical questions. Afterwards, you'll get a tour of the facility and answer more questions. The questions are actually easier than you might think, so don't overthink them.

I was contacted by a really nice HR person via email who answered all my questions quickly. A couple weeks later, an engineer from the company called me for a phone interview. It was super detailed, covering my past projects and experience, and also checking my knowledge of aircraft systems and theory, like landing gear, propulsion, wing structures, and guidance. Scaled wants top talent who can use their hands-on engineering skills and understand engineering principles to build their cool aircraft designs. The engineers also gave me some good feedback on my strengths and weaknesses and how I could improve and maybe get hired later.

I got a phone interview about a month after I applied online. It had basic questions on engineering. Then, I had an onsite interview. It was about 3 hours long, where 3 different people each had about an hour to interview me. The questions were in depth and detailed, and some were surprising. Midway through, we had lunch and I got a tour of the facilities. Then, there was a background check.
