First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SCA Pharma.
Inside Sales Representative
The interview process was great. I first spoke with the Talent Acquisition Manager and then the Manager of the role. The HR team was very communicative, responding within a day and clearly explaining the interview process. The questions were straightforward, and compensation was discussed early on. They were transparent about the internal culture, which made me more interested. Although I didn't receive an offer, I would apply again because of how well the hiring process was managed.
- In what kind of environments do you thrive the most?
QC Microbiologist
I had a phone call with the hiring manager who was really nice. Then I interviewed with some staff leaders, who were also great. The last part was a facility tour with a microbiologist, where I observed the process and they interviewed a bit. She was super nice too. A few days later, the hiring manager called and offered me the job. One thing to note is that you should be more upfront about your expectations and goals here than at other places. They didn't give me a clear answer on pay until the job offer, while other companies discussed it earlier. The pay was lower than other offers I got ($18/hour, with a shift differential to $21/hour). They did reassure me about their training program, and the work culture seems good.
- Can you elaborate on your qualifications?
- Could you share more about your scientific background?
- What is your general disposition like?
MQA Specialist
First interviews were pleasant and went smoothly. The second round interview invite came via text, and I couldn't reply immediately because I was driving. I replied the same day, but got no response. I interviewed with them months ago for a different role, and after two rounds, they said they were changing the job description and I wasn't a fit. The same role was posted a few months later with changes.
- Can you share your experience?
- What motivated you to apply for this role?
Microbiology Laboratory Supervisor
There were three interviews total. The first one was a screening call. After that, I spoke with HR, and they gave me a general overview of the company and discussed the role itself more broadly. The final interview was with the hiring managers.
- Can you tell me about your experience leading teams?
- Describe your approach to problem-solving.
