The hiring process was put together well. I sent in my application and heard back within a day with a few interview date choices. I was given a detailed intro to the place and a walk-through.

The recruiter was welcoming, informative, and reflective, showing a real interest in me. They took the time to go over my resume and asked questions about my previous experience. They also answered my questions and provided honest feedback about their own experience at the company.

I applied for the Behavioral Health Technician role two months before they called me back. They explained they were initially looking for full-time employees, which I wasn't offering then, but they kept my application. They called to check my continued interest and to schedule a face-to-face interview. The next morning, I arrived for the interview, which began with a half-hour assessment test, as HR had informed me. The assessment covered workplace scenarios and was easy; failing it would prevent moving to the interview stage. Luckily, I passed and was taken to the hospital for an interview with a nursing manager. She reviewed my resume and asked questions about workplace scenarios before asking if I had any questions. About a day later, HR called with a job offer. It's a good facility with meaningful work, decent pay, and optional overtime.

HR called me the day after I applied. The HR interview was pretty straightforward, just standard interview questions. I had to complete a timed computerized quiz, which wasn't difficult, mostly situational questions about handling workplace scenarios. Since I passed that, I proceeded to the next step. The HR person led me to the main hospital building where I met two nurse managers who were recruiting for their units. At that point, I didn't have much experience and wasn't sure which patient population I wanted to work with. After that, the interview concluded. I heard someone else got to tour the unit during their interview; maybe I could have asked for a tour. The next day, HR called with a job offer, and I began orientation the following week. Before orientation, I had to complete a required physical exam and drug screen, which I was a bit nervous about, but it was simple. The doctor just performed basic checks like range of motion and a 40 lb lift test.
