First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SBH Health System.
ESD
The interview itself wasn't long, maybe around half an hour, but be aware that the wait time from applying to hearing back can be quite lengthy, so patience is key and it's good to keep applying elsewhere.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
Onboarding Specialist
It was an easy interview, mostly just talking about my work experience and a few situational questions. Super straightforward. They did a phone screening and then an in-person interview. I heard back about their decision within two weeks.
- Can you walk me through your background?
Dietitian
I had a conversation with the hiring manager. We talked about my background and what I'm looking for. The manager explained the different units in the hospital like the burn unit, pediatrics, and transplant, and what's expected in each. They asked about my experience in these areas, my comfort level, how many patients I've handled, and what the job requires. They also went over the training and pay. Finally, the manager wanted to know my expectations and about my past employment.
- Tell me about your inpatient nutrition experience.
- Describe your experience with nutrition in a burn unit.
- What's your experience and comfort level with pediatric nutrition?
Clinician
Had an interview with the director and assistant director. They interviewed me in Spanish and English. After that, I had an informal interview with the hospital's HR department. Then, I had to complete a written sample to check my documentation skills. The whole process with upper management at the hospital was quite slow.
- What is your approach to assessing a new patient?
