The interview process lasted for about two weeks. I was informed that I would be working at PureGym. The interviewer was nice and asked me about my past cleaning experience, how far away the gym was from my home, and if I had any previous cleaning jobs.

It started with getting to know me, asking me about my past job experience, what value I will be bringing to the company, how much I will be willing to work for and if I could come in for a training shift.

Behavioral Technical Case

The recruitment lead was nice and positive, keeping me updated at every step and being flexible for a virtual interview. The first interview was one-on-one with the hiring manager. It went well and I felt my skills in process alignment and optimization were a good match. The second interview, also with the manager and recruitment lead, involved a task to calculate revenue and margin, and then suggest an optimization strategy. I had prepared many ideas, but it went poorly because I made a calculation error. I apologized, but the manager insisted I recalculate while screen-sharing, which triggered anxiety and made concentration very difficult. It felt like torture, but I eventually overcame the 'brain fog' and finished it. The manager noted he'd seen my ideas on screen, so I just summarized. I knew I hadn't performed well, and felt the role wasn't for me anyway, as my focus is on processes and helping people optimize their work, not crunching numbers. I've accepted an offer from another company whose business transformation approach aligns better with my abilities, and they've found someone else for this role. My advice for future interviews: consider allowing candidates to move on if they express distress or at least offer some calming words, as stress and anxiety are common and can hinder performance even for skilled individuals. The recruitment process itself wasn't overly complex, and I hope they found the right person.

Applied online, it was very easy. Didn't hear back for about a month. Then they called me. They noticed I had a lot of cleaning experience and offered me the job over the phone without an interview. I started right away.
