Behavioral Technical Presentation

I went to a job fair where I met Xerox reps for Saxon. They were interested because of my sales background and business education. I had a second interview the next day, which went well, leading to a third interview in Miami Lakes. This third interview felt great, involving jokes and then Q&A about the company, where my research impressed them. I was shown around the office and introduced to staff. I was verbally offered the job by the corporate recruiter, with the condition of doing sales visits with a manager and seasoned account executive, followed by a meeting with the owner. During a visit to a large firm, we met with an old-school employee instead of decision-makers, who was uninterested in technology and stated the firm had no budget for it. I took notes on his past and current operations, which apparently was frowned upon, with the manager saying it made us look unprepared. Afterward, the account executive and I went to a small business for a closing. The account executive mentioned that ride-alongs usually mean you get the job. While waiting for the owner/founder, who was delayed, the manager interrogated me about my resume, disagreeing with the recruiter and account executive about hiring me. I was told they'd call back about meeting the owner. I sometimes wonder if this was a test to see if I'd approach the owner directly. Despite a verbal offer and having contacts for potential big deals, I was ultimately denied.

The COO, who is also the head recruiter, conducted the interviews. It started with a screening interview, followed by a psychological assessment to check suitability for sales. Initially, the COO was very helpful and responsive, but then they decided not to hire me and stopped returning calls or emails.

I got a phone call from HR and they asked me to come in. I met with HR and the Department Supervisor. HR made me feel really comfortable right away. They asked me some questions, and the interview lasted about an hour and a half. Two days later, they called me back and scheduled me to meet with the Department Manager the very next day. That interview was an hour and a half long and they asked a lot of questions.
