The interview process was pretty standard with a few stages. First, I had a round where I met with two people. Then, there was an on-site video shoot where I had to create some videos. Finally, I met with a senior executive.

I was offered a drink while I waited and then was invited into a room with three interviewers. At first I was nervous, but everyone in the room made me feel very comfortable. It felt more like a friendly conversation than an interrogation. I left feeling like I was heard and valued.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I had an informal chat with two folks from Savory, Brandon and Nadine. It helped me understand the job better and see if I'd fit in. Then, I had a more formal interview with Nadine and Alonso. Alonso asked some really interesting questions about my past work, not the usual boring ones. He seemed pretty serious though and laid out what he'd expect from me. This made me feel capable but also a bit intimidated by how intense and serious Savory seemed. My last interview was with the 'Culture Committee,' including the CEO, Shauna Smith. Meeting her was great because she made the company seem welcoming instead of intense. I thought it was a bit odd who was on the committee, since they weren't people I'd work with directly. The communication with Brandon throughout the process was also really smooth; he always replied quickly via text and made things less stressful.

My interview experience with Savory Restaurant Fund was great, everyone was super friendly from the start. It started with a phone screening, then I had an interview with the head of the department, and finally, a culture interview. The culture interview was more of a casual conversation to get to know some team members and for them to get to know me.
