The interview process was quite straightforward and not stressful at all. I got a good sense of the company culture from meeting the team I'd be joining and then discussing the specific projects I'd be working on. The questions they asked were directly related to those projects, and I didn't feel any pressure to prepare extensively beforehand.

It was a simple, straightforward process. First, there was an initial screening with the campus recruiter. Then, it moved to a second round of interviews. This round included an overview of the company and the intern position, discussing what a typical day looks like and why I want to work there.

Behavioral Technical

A headhunter reached out about an A/V company on the Cape, which sounded interesting, so I decided to proceed. The first step was a phone screen with an engineer in Portland, OR. It went well. After that, I had a full day onsite interview. I talked about my interest in the role and living on the Cape, but mentioned I wasn't ready to move. They suggested remote work might be an option. Later, I was informed they wouldn't be moving forward with me, stating I wouldn't be a "team" player, which I found confusing given my expressed interest in the location. On reflection, I'm glad I didn't join, especially after reading recent employee reviews that confirmed my initial feelings about the company.

Technical Presentation

I applied for a PM role in Boston. I had a couple of phone screens, and was asked to prepare some example documents. Based on my submission, I was invited for an interview. They scheduled the interview with less than 24 hours notice and told me I’d be interviewing in Cape Cod, not Boston. I accepted. I spent four hours traveling over 200 miles round trip, all at my own expense. I didn't get any feedback, not even a rejection. After a few weeks, I asked their in-house HR recruiter for feedback to understand what happened. I was told to wait a week for feedback, but it never came.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • There weren't any questions that stood out as particularly challenging. I did spend a considerable amount of time preparing sample requirements before the interview.
