It was an in person interview where they asked me about my past work and schooling, then we talked about finances. After that, they said HR would call me with more offer details. That was the whole thing.

I got an email for an interview, not sure how they found me. There was one interview. About a month later, they called me with an offer that was 30% less than my current salary, which they were aware of. I asked for a higher offer. They came back with the same offer after three days, and I declined again.

First, an HR screening call to check if you're a good cultural fit, have the basic qualifications, can communicate well, and are available. They'll ask about your career history, why you want this job, your salary expectations, and how much notice you need. You'll give a quick rundown of projects you've managed. Then, there's a technical interview, possibly a panel, in 1-2 rounds. This is to see how good you are at project management, if you know the field, understand different methods, and can handle real problems. They'll dive into project lifecycles, tools like Jira or MS Project, Agile (Scrum, Kanban) vs. Waterfall vs. Hybrid, Agile ceremonies, and tracking progress with burndown charts. Also, how you deal with risks, budgets, changes, and scope creep. Stakeholder communication, handling escalations, and reporting are key. They want to know what KPIs you've used like delivery rates or budget variance. Expect questions related to specific industries like ERP or cloud. After that, you might do a case study or answer scenario questions to test your decision-making, leadership, and communication under pressure – like recovering a late project or handling a tough stakeholder. Finally, there's an executive round to see if you match leadership expectations and the business vision. This is about strategic thinking and your ideas for the team. They'll also check if you fit the company culture. Before a final offer, they might ask for references or more documents.
