Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Saudi Aramco.
Personal Assistant
What a mess of an interview process. They use weird personality tests that seem to look for the most submissive personal assistants. The interview and offer process were really unprofessional and misleading. They were vague about working hours and didn't include all the important information, like company rules, with the offer. And if you're going for a job in Saudi, be aware you'll be paid in your home currency but have to follow Saudi law. Seriously, avoid this place.
- Tell me about a time you had to deal with pressure.
- How do you limit your social media use, especially when feeling pressured?
Administrative Assistant
I applied for the role through a vendor, and then I got shortlisted for the interview. It was a pretty standard process, nothing out of the ordinary. Basically, applied via vendor, got shortlisted, then interviewed.
- What are some common questions you expect in an interview?
- Can you provide examples of typical interview inquiries?
- Are there any standard questions that might be asked?
Executive Assistant
I flew interstate for a presentation by Aramco recruiters in Sydney to a group of executive assistant candidates. Afterwards, we were taken individually for two separate 1:1 interviews with different directors/senior people. The interviews were pretty casual and relaxed, and quite short compared to others I've had. It felt easy and they didn't ask much.
- Can you share an instance where you implemented a business improvement?
- Could you describe your most recent role?
- What about Saudi Aramco appeals to you, and why are you interested in relocating to Saudi Arabia?
