I applied for this tech writer intern role through Indeed and my grad school's site. I emailed the HR manager to confirm they got my stuff, then a recruiter reached out. The first person I talked to told me about the job. Then I had a phone chat with my potential supervisor. Finally, I did an in-person interview for an hour with that supervisor and the director. They offered me the job at the end, but the salary was firm. It was a nice interview process, but I had other offers with better career growth and pay, so I took one of those. Everyone was cool, and I'd consider interviewing there again for another role.

First there was a phone screen with a recruiter, but she had the wrong resume. Then a conference call that the recruiter forgot to set up. After that, a Skype call with the manager in London. Next, an in-person interview where the HR person talked about how they fire people there all the time. I got a verbal offer, but the job was gone the next day. A few weeks later, the same HR person called to see if I was still interested. I said yes, and she said she'd send an offer. But instead of sending the offer, she emailed me to ask for another interview round. I declined and took another offer. Overall, a really bad interview experience!

So I had a couple of technical interviews over the phone first. Then, I had a face-to-face interview with the same team and also the Director. The interviews went well, and I had a good chat with the team. It seemed like a good place to work. But, a few days later, they told me the position was paused for a couple of weeks and they'd let me know when they restart the process.
