Project Manager
So the first thing was like a screening where I had to answer 5 questions, each with a 2 min recording. Then I was called for the first in-person interview with the hiring manager and HR. Before that, I had to complete a psychometric test. The interview itself was 1 hour. They started by introducing the company, the department, and the role. I then gave a brief introduction about myself. After that, they asked me some standard questions like my experience in certain areas, how my colleagues would describe me, why I applied, and how I'd handle specific scenarios. I also had the chance to ask them some questions at the end. The overall vibe was really friendly and comfortable.
- Can you tell me about your experience in specific areas?
- What would your colleagues say about you?
- What motivated you to apply for this role?
Supply Chain Analyst
The overall process was great with a great team. It started with a phone screen, followed by a panel interview. The panel interview included a case study where they presented a business problem and provided data and files. I was given about an hour to work on it and then 30 minutes to present my findings and explain my thought process. It was really stressful but in a fun way. I felt I didn't get far enough, but after my explanation, they gave me time to verbally discuss what else I would have done with more time. I really appreciated this and it left me more confident in the process. A week later, I got a call with an offer, but I declined it for a better opportunity.
- What's your approach to informing leadership if a project is exceeding its budget or facing delays?
Customer Resolutions Specialist
So the interview was a panel interview. Two of the three people interviewing me were super unfriendly from the start, which made me feel really awkward. The questions weren't what I expected for an initial interview. A big thing for me was that the job description mentioned Excel, but then the last part of the interview was a test using Google Sheets, which is similar but not the same. They sat there and watched me do the test. One interviewer just left mid-way, which was rude. Another kept sighing and typing whenever I made a choice. The computer screen was tiny, making it really hard to work with a spreadsheet of over 100 clients. I got so flustered that I just sat there pretending I didn't know what to do. At the end, the one friendly person walked me out and said they wouldn't decide for a few months. They then reposted the job, but this time listed Google Sheets instead of Excel.
- What action would you take if an employee was speaking too loudly on their phone, even after you've addressed it with them directly?
HR Specialist
I applied online in early 2022. Then there was an online video interview which was automated, where I recorded myself responding to situational questions. A few weeks later, HR called and invited me for an in-person interview. They also asked me to do a personality quiz. The interview was standard, with a mix of resume and behavioral/situational questions. The job title was HR Specialist, and it looked like it was L&D-focused, but during the interview, they said it was more of an HR generalist role and asked if I'd do responsibilities outside of L&D. The interview focused more on those other responsibilities. The personality quiz seemed sketchy with questionable validity, but the interviewer commented on my suitability based on it. The behavioral questions in the in-person interview were redundant since there were already many in the video interview. The in-person interview wasn't necessary given COVID and WFH, but I had to travel far, show a negative ART test, and change my mask on-site, making the company seem rigid. HR said the in-person interview wasn't the final round and there would be another on-site case study if I passed.
- What are your thoughts on DEI?
- Tell me about your background and experience.
- Can you give me some examples of how you've handled X situation?
