The interview process involved a few phone calls, then a face-to-face meeting with the group director. He asked me what our differentiator was, and I responded with "analytics". He seemed pleased and left. It turned out that was the correct answer he was looking for.

- I don't recall specific questions, but the drive around campus was striking. The campus is much larger than I expected, and I had no prior knowledge of SAS's operations. However, seeing the campus made it clear they must be successful.

The whole interview process for the Systems Engineer role, covering Prelim to Offer, spanned about 6.5 weeks. It started with a Recruiter call to screen candidates, checking backgrounds, past experiences, salary expectations, and benefits. Next was Round 1 with a future colleague, which was more of a casual chat about past experiences and current role responsibilities, focusing on personality and cultural fit rather than technical skills. The advice was to be authentic and research the interviewer's expertise. Round 2 was with the Hiring Manager, again a casual discussion about experiences and cultural fit, with some questions on past experiences. The advice here was to be honest, authentic, and research the role and company's products/direction. Round 3 was a Panel Interview with six people from different regions (Korea, Japan, China, US, UK). I received an assignment beforehand to prepare a presentation for the panel. The presentation was followed by questions, covering both technical aspects and personality. The entire process was professional and respectful, making it a very good experience.

It was a pretty good interview process overall. The first part was a casual video chat where I mostly just introduced myself. Then, the final round was with the actual team I'd be joining, and that was nice too. Everyone on the hiring team and my potential work team made things super easy for the interview and getting started.
