First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SAQ.
Consultant
It was a really tough interview process. They asked a lot of questions about my current job and the technology I'm using right now. The tech they are using is pretty advanced. It seems like a good place to join if you want to learn new things.
- Can you describe your current project and explain its functionality?
caissier vendeur
I had a meeting in 2006 with two managers. They asked me questions about my customer service work experience. It was a standard interview. They asked me several questions about my teamwork skills. They asked me if I could report a theft by a colleague, which I found a strange question for an interview. Then, they asked me to improvise a role-playing scenario in the context of an in-store tasting for customers. I found this job interview very friendly and relevant.
- Why should I choose you over another candidate?
Cashier
The hiring process for this role is quite long and can be a bit tough. They use role-playing exercises to assess how you'd handle specific scenarios. Additionally, they employ various psychological tests to understand your personality and determine if you're a good fit for their team.
- Could you complete psychological tests?
- How would you respond to specific scenarios during role play?
- What are your personality traits and do you fit the company mold?
Cashier Sales Associate
It was a formal interview with the branch director. They asked really common questions, and some tricky ones about alcohol use and sales. You should practice your interview skills before coming! The directors are super nice and welcoming. The whole interview was in French. There were also roleplaying questions, so practice scenarios beforehand.
- How would you convince a client to buy a specific product? (Roleplay)
